College Friends Turned Business Partners
Sarah and Linda’s story begins at Endicott College in the 80’s. They began as college best friends, then roommates, then business partners. With Linda’s keen eye for design and space planning and Sarah’s project management and problem solving capabilities they decided one day to start a business, and 23 years have created a strong name for themselves in the community.
The Passion Behind Our Projects
Manager
Linda Shafiroff attended school at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts and graduated with a degree in design. In 1989 Linda relocated to the Berkshires and began her career in the construction field. From site development to spec housing Linda’s career took her through many phases of the construction world before finding herself as Co-Owner of Creative Building Solutions, LLC.
Whether it be stick built housing or modular, Linda has designed some of the most innovate housing in Berkshire County, always keeping in sight her client’s budgets and living needs to come up with housing that is functional, cost effective and aesthetically pleasing.
Committed to keeping the place she has decided to call home a wonderful place to raise her two children, Linda’s house designs focus on green techniques, local materials and sustainability.

Sarah Stiner graduated with a degree in Science in 1987. Sarah is a life long resident of Berkshire County, making the place she grew up home for her and her family. Working for a local surveying/engineering firm gave her the background she needed to become co-owner of Creative Building Solutions, LLC.
Construction management and permit acquisition has complimented Linda’s design experience and given CBS, LLC a very well rounded team to complete any project regardless of size and/or budget
In 2006 Sarah adopted Gabriela Abigail from Guatemala, fulfilling a long time dream of becoming a parent. The transition for both Mother and Daughter has gone amazingly well and the reality of being a mother has far exceeded anything I could have hoped for.
